sports metaphors are for losers

Thursday: Home run!

Lately I have been having a little difficulty understanding the trendy anti-trendy, superficial anti-superficial, anti-Los Angeles attitude. It seems to come up a lot. I don't know why I don't get it. Maybe it's the homebodiness of me, that I love my hometown, and I love it just the way it is. Of course, I also love New York, and Seattle, Portland, SF, and DC. I'm easy to please, as long as you're not a giant suburb. San Diego and Vegas give me the willies.

I am so dying to try this new "Premium Convenience Store" Famima....

I enjoyed this amusing LA/NY neighborhood comparison... Apparently there is a lot to be said for the unoffocial LA neighborhood culture.

in that article there's a link to the trading post website:

ash's ex-hubby. it doesn't mention him there, but it says it on his peddler on the roof bio:

i hear peddler is kind of a bust, but i kinda wanna go anyway...just to see for myself.

but the fairfax flea market is a definite go! lots of treasure hunting to do...let's go soon!
